Lilacs front cover

You are invited to join Janis as she recalls the fragrant lilacs in Halifax, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, continues in the style of Mystics and Mashed Potatoes, and concludes with laughter!

Janis Walker is the author of Alleluia! A Gospel Diary and nine other books. Her most recent book is To See the King. In 1991, she received a Master's degree from St. Patrick's Seminary in Menlo Park, California. Her thesis was on the ministries of Oxford professors Edward Pusey, John Keble, and the future Cardinal, John Henry Newman, now Saint John Henry Newman. The work of these dedicated men led to the Oxford Movement in the Church of England.

On May 13, 1998, Janis was received into the Roman Catholic Church at the Jesuit Retreat Center in Los Altos in a Chrism Mass for Christian Unity. Her spiritual director was Rev. Jerry McCourt, S.J. Janis and her family, now including a beautiful granddaughter, live in California. She is also a card carrying member of the Betsy-Tacy Society.
